In our final Act, we see the surge of Lady Macbeth’s sleepwalking and mental illness, possibly being bought on by her and her husband’s guilt. Lady Macbeth dies later on in this Act, and Macbeth is slain soon after in a battle between himself and Macduff. Following Malcolm’s clever ploy to use shrubbery to conceal their true numbers in the fight, they succeed and bid farewell to Macbeth’s evil reign.
